Phillip is a founding shareholder of McCallum, Methvin & Terrell, P.C (now Methvin Terrell P.C.). Phillip graduated from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University located in Birmingham, Alabama and was admitted to practice law in the state of Alabama in 1988. Phillip worked for 3-1/2 years as a prosecutor in the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office before becoming a civil litigator. In 1997, he served as President of the Birmingham Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division. He has served on the Birmingham Bar Association Grievance Committee for three years and is a member of the Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice’s Commission for Professionalism. Phillip has served three terms on the Alabama State Bar’s Board of Bar Commissioners representing the Tenth Judicial Circuit of Alabama. He has also served as Vice-President of the Alabama State Bar and as President of the Alabama State Bar. He is a member of the Alabama Bar Association, the Texas Bar Association, the Oklahoma Bar Association, the West Virginia Bar Association, the National Conference of Bar Presidents, the Southern Conference of Bar Presidents, and the American Association for Justice.
