McCallum, Methvin & Terrell is currently investigating claims involving the blood thinner Xarelto

The Attorneys at McCallum, Methvin & Terrell are currently investigating claims around the country on behalf of patients who suffered GI bleeding, hemorrhagic strokes or any other serious or fatal bleeding involving Xarelto.

Xarelto (rivaroxaban) is a blood thinner prescribed to prevent blood clots in patients suffering from atrial fibrillation, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolisms and stroke, and to minimize the risk of blood clots in patients who have recently undergone knee or hip replacement surgery.

Xarelto was approved by the FDA in 2011 and is one of the newest blood thinners on the market.  It is manufactured by Janssen Pharmaceutical (a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson) and co-marketed by Bayer Healthcare.  Since its approval, it has allegedly been linked to hundreds of injuries and deaths.

Reports of alleged adverse side effects caused by patients taking Xarelto have significantly increased as Xarelto becomes more widely prescribed.  Xarelto can potentially cause serious bleeding because of how it affects blood clotting proteins.  It has been alleged that internal bleeding side effects cannot be controlled or reversed by physicians, making the drug more dangerous than other blood thinners.

If you or your family member took Xarelto and suffered serious or fatal bleeding injuries after taking Xarelto, you may be entitled to relief under applicable law.  You may contact the attorneys at McCallum, Methvin & Terrell for more information by filling out our contact information form, or by calling toll free (800) 914-9077 to speak with one of our attorneys.
